10. Ear Plugs
At the rowdier festivals like Glastonbury you’re unlikely to get a single quiet hour during the whole the weekend. Throughout the night there will be the sound of distant bass thumping from the all-night jungle tent, the strums of acoustic guitars by sensitive boys trying to pull and random screams of “bollocks”. If you don’t want to go crazy from sleep deprivation, take some cheap foam ear plugs.
Also, without wanting to sound like your parents, we strongly recommend taking noise reducing ear plugs aimed at musicians. Exposure to loud music for long periods of time damages your ears, it’s that simple. Take it from people who know: tinnitus sucks. Avoid it by using quality plugs at the louder stages. You’ll find they actually make muddy soundsystems sound better!
